Sparkles in the Park 2019

During the darkest days of the year Rotary transforms Guelph's Riverside Park into a winter wonderland of lights and displays. Open to the community and culminating in a well atteended New Years Eve fireworks. It is a great time and place for all the family to clebrate the Holiday Season.To make all this happen we need your help to decorate and strings the thousands of lights. Please click on the signup sheet and secure your best time to do your share of the work.

She shoots, she scores! Insights from a Canadian World Cup Soccer Player, Author and Broadcaster

Helen scored the first ever goal at a World Cup for a Canadian player, male or female. It came at the 1995 FIFA World Cup in Sweden In 2008.  She has co-authored a book on soccer and worked as a colour commentator for Rogers Sportsnet.  Helen became just the sixth woman inducted into the Canadian Soccer Hall of Fame.

Come celebrate the joys of the Holiday Season with our friends and partners. Join us at 11:30 am for punch and cheer and stay for a fun filled luncheon of entertainment and fellowship.  This year we have an option that allows for registration and payment online or if you prefer, you can purchase your tickets at our club meetings starting on November 29 until December 13.  We have a few surprises this year as well as a visit by Santa and perhaps an elf or two. Please book your tickets early as we must cut off registrations by on December 13th.    If you wish to puchase your tickets by credit card please follow the link to register and pay. If you wish to pay by cash please purchase your ticket while at he regular meeting up to December 13th.    

 Tickets are  $ 35.00 per person.

This will be like any other Friday meeting, right from "Oh Canada on... beautiful buffet, announcements, happy bucks, maybe even fines by the Seargant-at-Arms.  BUT we'll be at the Guelph Curling Club with expert commentary as we watch in warmth through a wall of glass as Rotarians from far and wide compete. Rotarians from other clubs not curling at the moment will sit in on our meeting with us.
