September 30th, 2022 marks Canada's second National Day of Truth and Reconciliation (also recognized as Orange Shirt Day).  Our club's Indigenous Awareness Committee invites the community to three "Towards Truth" events, on September 28th, 29th and 30th.  
 
September 28th, 2022 at The Guelph Museum from 7-9pm.
Guelph artist Eleni Bakopoulos (a member of our Rotary club) will exhibit and chat about her artworks on display. Attendance is FREE - but reserve your spot in advance. 
 
 
 
September 29th, 2022 at The Bookshelf Cinema, at 2pm and 7pm.
Film screening of the "Inconvenient Indian" inspired the novel by local author, Thomas King. Attendance is FREE, first come first served.
 
 
 
September 30th, 2022 at the Italian Canadian Club (ICC) at 12 noon.
The Rotary Club of Guelph invites members, guests and any community members to attend the film screening of "Doctrine of Discovery: Stolen Lands, Strong Hearts." It explains how a devastating decision, made over 500 years ago, continues to profoundly impact Indigenous and Settler people worldwide.
