On March 6, Guelph will host its second annual secret 3k run/walk marathon to promote gender equality and the right of every person to run in their communities.

The Secret 3K is a run/walk held during the week of International Women's Day. It's a race that celebrates the right of women to be free to run. We're inviting everyone to come
together to show solidarity in this important issue.  The Secret 3k began in 2015, the marathon was held in Afghanistan. It was a run that both men and women were able to participate in but they had to keep it a secret. Why? There are still places in the world where women are not allowed to run or walk outside. However, a community in Afghanistan courageously carved out a new way forward for the next generation. By creating safe races they helped to create a safe place. We want to help.

By participating you are helping us to increase awareness about gender equality issues and by making a donation you are helping to further the work of our charity partners to
build safe and inclusive spaces that promote gender equality. Together we can empower women and girls through education and sport around the world and in our very own community.

The secret3k raises money for:
Afghan Sports Trust, and 261 Fearless

Last year there was enormous support from the Guelph Rotary Club through the planning phase, moral support, registrations and grant funds. It would be great to get the same level of support this year!
