Are You an Expert in Your Science or Engineering Field? Willing to help the next generation?
Every year, over 140 judges from universities, colleges, businesses and industries volunteer their time to judge the projects and provide valuable feedback to the young students at the Waterloo Wellington Science & Engineering Fair (WWSEF). It's on April 11, 2023 and they need more volunteer judges.
The annual Waterloo Wellington Science & Engineering Fair is back in person this year, on Tuesday, April 11th 2023 at Bingemans in Kitchener. They need more JUDGES for the 142 projects submitted by 170 young researchers, mostly Grade 8 - 11 students.
This will be the 38th year that the Rotary Club of Guelph proudly sponsors this event to inspire future STEM careers of young people. Winners from this fair go on to compete in regional and national fairs, and sometimes even international ones. Several past Science Fair participants have gone on to illustrious scientific careers.
Judges are required to register in advance, arrive at Bingemans on Fair Day for a briefing at 8:30am, and then judge displays from 9am to 12 noon.
If you are interested in becoming a judge, please contact the WWSEF Judge-in-Chief, Stefan Idziak, at judging@wwsef.ca.
