A group of Rotarians from Sweden will visit our area in August 2023 on a Rotary Friendship Exchange (RFE) and we are looking for Guelph hosts and helpers over 3 days. There is also the opportunity for local Rotarians to visit Sweden in September 2023.
Rotary Friendship Exchange is an international exchange program for Rotary members and friends that allows participants to take turns hosting one another in their homes and clubs. Participants may travel as individuals, couples, families, or groups, and may be Rotary members or friends of Rotary.

Our club's local District 7080 is partnering with Sweden's District 2400 to arrange Rotary Friendship Exchange trips in August and September 2023.
SWEDES COMING TO CANADA : AUGUST 12-21, 2023
- Hosted by Burlington Central Club from August 12-14
- Hosted by our Rotary Club of Guelph from August 15-17
- Hosted by Milton club, from August 18-20, returning to Sweden on August 21
Here in Guelph, we need 6 hosts each willing to host a Swedish couple for three nights. Host families do not need to arrange entertainment or things to see because the RFE 7080 committee is arranging activities. In addition to overnight hosts, we are also looking for volunteer drivers to take the visitors to their planned activities such as St. Jacobs and other places around Guelph.

- If interested in travelling to Sweden on this RFE trip, the application details will be provided soon.
- Each of the hosting Rotary Clubs (Burlington Central, Guelph and Milton) can accept 4 applications for a total of 12 participants to participate in each exchange.
- Any participant who intends or wishes to extend their stay in Sweden or go on to any other country beyond October 2nd, may do so but will have to make their own arrangements.
