Gaining a deeper understanding of our local community needs is of great importance to Rotary efforts.

You are warmly invited to attend an important online information session where two local experts will speak about the most pressing challenges facing Guelph Wellington at this unique time in history as our community recovers from the pandemic and adapts to a changed and changing world.
  • Mike Schreiner, a dedicated Rotarian and our Guelph MPP, will share the top issues from his perspective
  • Sarah Haanstra, the well-known and admired manager of Towards Common Ground, will share research findings for social and health issues in Guelph Wellington, and the potential impact of collective planning
This meeting is the start of a process to focus our community service efforts:
  • Step one is INFORMATION. Join this online session to listen and learn about the most acute needs in our community. Connect with other Rotarians who also care about community service.
  • Step two is PLANNING. Future sessions will consider how Rotary is responding to the most pressing community needs and how this could help guide our committee structures, project selections and grants. This process might occur within individual clubs, or perhaps we will find common ground to make a bigger community difference by clubs working together.
  • Step three is ACTION and getting things done through our Rotary "Service Above Self" to make a positive difference in our community.
We hope that you will join us on November 29th at 4:30pm (Zoom link below), as well as at future sessions.
