About the Films:

The Mini Forest – Directed by David Hartman
What begins as an ambitious plan to plant 100 trees in a small Toronto backyard transforms into a powerful exploration of native ecology, urban afforestation, and the human connection to nature. The Mini Forest is an anti-lawn anthem inspired by the Miyawaki Method, showing how small spaces can make a big environmental impact.

Escape From Extinction: Rewilding – Narrated by Meryl Streep
Produced by American Humane, this sweeping documentary follows conservationists across the globe who are using rewilding to bring species back from the brink of extinction. From the forests of Rwanda to the shores of North America, it’s a hopeful and action-driven call to restore our natural world.

Don’t miss this inspiring Earth Day celebration — an evening of film, conversation, and community action. All are welcome. Pay what you can. Let’s come together to celebrate the planet and the power of storytelling to spark change.
