Rotary is hosting the film "Human Trafficking - Canada's Secret Shame" at the Bookshelf on September 22, 2022 at $6:30pm. Tickets are $10 in advance.
The film (watch the trailer here) will be followed by a panel discussion with those working directly with sex trafficked victims in our community. The panellists include Luisa Krause of Elora House, Pastor Kevin Coghill of Royal City Mission and Dan Connelly, Police Human Trafficking Liaison Officer.
This is the third public event of the Rotary Eradicate Human Trafficking Committee's initiative to raise awareness of this crisis, and to mobilize action. It is an eye-opening video that tells of Joy Smith's efforts to attack this outrage in Canada and of the pain and sorrow experienced by the victims. Come join us and bring a friend to help educate our community on what is happening in our own backyards.
