Adopt-A-Family 2025

Once again this year, the Rotary Club of Guelph will support the “Adopt-A-Family” program and we’re asking for the usual generosity of club members and friends so that we can be the Secret Santa for several families and youth in need.

Our club volunteers will do all the necessary organizing on your behalf, and you will receive a tax receipt for your donation. 
 
 

Last year … In our 2024 campaign, thanks to the generous support of our club members, we brightened the holidays for 6 families and 22 children with gift cards and thoughtfully chosen presents. Let’s do it again… and maybe even more!

This year …  In our 2025 campaign, our club is aiming to collect at least $4,000 to support five large families OR go even further to include independent youth and smaller families as well.

Or, bring it to an in-person Friday meeting at the ICC and place it in the tabletop envelope. Tax receipts for donations over $20 will be issued by our club.

Background information 
This wonderful “Adopt-A-Family” program is coordinated by the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington in cooperation with local social agencies that submit details about needy families. The Children’s Foundation acts as the go-between, matching donors and recipients while maintaining anonymity on both sides. In 2024, the Childrens' Foundation program “Adopt-A-Family” supported 1,649 families including 3,650 children and youth. Even more registrations are expected for the 2025 program. 
 
Adopt-A-Family provides donors (that’s us) with actual wish lists from children (and some needs noted by their parents). For the families designated to us, we will provide gifts from the children’s wish lists and sometimes provide gift cards for appropriate stores to help the families purchase what they need. Every family will also receive grocery gift cards so they can enjoy a special holiday meal.
