A Christmas shout-out for good causes

At this time of year, there are many appeals for wonderful events and fundraisers. In good community spirit, here's a shout-out to some of them, with links where you can get more details. Support where you can, but mostly, help by 'spreading the word'. Details are below about:

  • The annual Christmas Joy Home Tour fundraiser for HOPE House.
  • The annual Guelph Toy Drive for kids in need.
  • The annual Cheese Gift Bags from our friends at the Rotary Club of Fergus-Elora.
 
 
  • ROTARY HAS CHRISTMAS IN THE BAG!
     
    This is a new project in 2020 to help small businesses and charities that are struggling with the impacts of COVID on their work. Read more about this project here.
     
     
     
    ​​​​​​THE ANNUAL CHRISTMAS JOY HOME TOUR is the biggest fundraiser of the year for HOPE House, and it is going virtual this year. Home tours start on November 20, 2020. Each $50 ticket purchase comes with a $45 charitable receipt and a $5 ticket providing a chance to win some amazing prizes.     GUELPH'S ANNUAL TOY DRIVE 
    Each year, the Guelph Storm OHL team normally has an enormous toy drive at a home game with new toys going to the Salvation Army for distribution to local children in need. This year, with no hockey games being played, they've partnered with Zehrs for a drive-through drop-off of new, unwrapped toys at any Guelph Zehrs location on Sat. Dec 5 and Sun. Dec 6, between 12pm and 3pm. 
     
     
     
    ROTARY FERGUS-ELORA ANNUAL CHEESE GIFT BAGS
