Doctrine of Discovery: Stolen Lands, Strong Hearts

September 30th is Canada's National Day of Truth and Reconciliation (also recognized as Orange Shirt Day). 

Our club's Indigenous Awareness Committee is hosting three "Towards Truth" community events during this week, the final event being the film screening of "Doctrine of Discovery: Stolen Lands, Strong Hearts." It explains how a devastating decision, made over 500 years ago, continues to profoundly impact Indigenous and Settler people worldwide. This is a must see and must know.
