Remembrance Day - Air Force Veteran's view of 75 years of Peacekeeping

We are so pleased to welcome Mike Seitz this Friday as a very special speaker for our Remembrance Day gathering. Mike Seitz served as a member of Canada's Air Force with service in various parts of Canada, Europe during the Cold War, and Peacekeeping in
the Middle East,(Egypt), and in Northern India and Pakistan. 

This Friday, Mike will share some of his Air Force experience, and pay special tribute to Canada's 75th anniversary of Peacekeeping. He will share the time that he spent as while a Peacekeeper himself. Mike was with the United Nations Emergency Force,(UNEF),in EL Arish Egypt from May 1966, until June 1967, also with the United Nations Military Group in India & Pakistan, (UNMOGIP), from May 1973, until May, 1974. He also served in various NATO countries in Europe for various lengths of times from 1956 until 1980, during the cold war.

As a veteran retired 26 years, this is a opportunity to learn some of the realities of Canada's services and the special skills that Peacekeeping requires, then and now.
