Sparking Inspiration in Youth ... Vocational Service and the Rotary Connection

Did someone special create interest in YOU for your chosen career? With Vocational Service being a founding pillar of Rotary, our Club has a long history of putting members' vocational service to work, and is even recognized as having started the Career Education Council of Guelph-Wellington-Dufferin several decades ago.  What has that original investment made possible for generations of students?

Be sure to attend this meeting to learn how the CEC of today continues to support young people in many amazing ways, as our club looks to reinvigorate Vocational Service by our members.

The Career Education Council was established in 1990 by the Rotary Club of Guelph with the objective of helping young people learn about and experience the workplace, thereby allowing them to make more informed choices about their future education and career pathway.

Thirty-plus years later, the Career Education Council has continued to evolve and adapt to the changing needs of our youth, our community, and our local employment landscape. We serve as a bridge between local business, industry, and the workforce. The CEC provides workshops and career events that provide youth with meaningful opportunities for experiential learning, career exploration, and skill development.
