A celebration of WORDS

What an exciting offering to begin our September!  This Friday's meeting will introduce us to two champions of words.

Emmanuel Adewale was a grade 7 student last year when his school speech on Climate Change won him top awards at Sacred Heart School and captapulted him into national competition.  He also earned a shout out from Ontario's Poet Laureate, Randell Adjei.  We're so interested to hear this young voice of leadership.

Then we move to a huge celebration of words!  Helene Duguay, Board Chair of the Eden Mills Writers' Festival, will share news about this magical festival celebrating the written word.  Each year, the village of Eden Mills turns into a veritable Brigadoon for lovers of literature - we all return to those wonderful days as kids and being read to by kind adults.  Helene will also share some of the amazing results when the Festival was forced to go online for the past two years.
