The Wellness of Our Community

For over 26 years, Helen Fishburn has worked in numerous roles in the mental health and addictions field, including various leadership roles for the past 19 years with the Canadian Mental Health Association - Waterloo Wellington (CMHA-WW).  

Many of us saw Helen frequently over the last two years with our trusted zoom "Finding the Balance" sessions updating us about COVID and the need to care for ourselves and others.  Some may know of Helen in her champion role with The Grove Hubs.  Helen has been a true groundbreaker for the issues around mental health, so much so that in 2021, she was chosen as one of seven Canadians to be named as Champions of Mental Health: Community Individual Award.

Issues around mental health touch us all, and Helen is the perfect person to give us a perpective of how mental health and its supports are evolving.
