Up Close - Personal Introduction by a Member

This week we will be treated to an Up Close presentation by Lucy Mutharia.  Lucy was proposed by Noma Vales and holds the classification “University - Microbiologist.”  She is a Professor in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Guelph for 32 years, and retired just this year, 2021. Originally from Nairobi, Lucy earned her Ph.D. at the University of British Columbia.  A lot of her scientific work provides basic knowledge that underpins the development of vaccines.  Since joining Rotary Lucy has been active in a number of club committees.
