Children & Youth Committee at Rotary Club of Guelph
(formerly Integrated Youth Services Network)

A bold vision and plan of action are urgently needed, due to the acute youth situation in our community.

Over 30 different organizations are coming together under the leadership of the Rotary Club of Guelph. A partnership of service organizations and volunteers have united with the common goal of building a new standard of care, support and services for our youth. This vision is a first in Canada. And it’s here in our community. Wellington & Guelph will be leading the way, providing our youth with the support they need to build positive, bright futures.

The Integrated Youth Services Network program (IYSN) is building a “one-stop-shop” concept for youth aged 12-26, designed to meet a wide range of needs across the continuum, including mental health, substance use, primary care, education, employment, training, housing and other community and social services. Co-designed with youth, the youth centres  are created to include peer services, outreach, and system-navigation services. Services will emphasize quality, be timely, integrated and co-located, making it incredibly easy for youth to get what they need, when they need it.

Each site will help transform the lives of the youth in our community. Upgraded technology will connect our youth to services and resources where there was no possibility of connection before. With 7 new youth centres planned, all functioning as one integrated network, this will have a real impact for the Wellington & Guelph community.
