CAREER EDUCATION COUNCIL

Somewhere around 1990, members of the Rotary Club of Guelph were actively providing career mentorship and vocational guidance to students, and saw the need for a wider community effort in this regard, also involving the school boards. This resulted in the formation of the Career Education Council which is extremely active still, although not directly involving Rotarians. With our club's renewed focus on Vocational Service beginning 2022-23, there is potential for Rotary to become involved with the CEC once again.

The Career Education Council is a registered charitable organization based in Guelph, Wellington, and Dufferin dedicated to providing youth with meaningful opportunities for experiential learning, career exploration, and skill development. We collaborate extensively with local employers, educators, and community partners to provide learning opportunities that will help youth to make more informed choices about their future education, training, and career pathway.
