Liz Sandals was absolutely delighted to report that our Adopt-A-Family donations have topped $4,260 allowing us to support FOUR families this Christmas! Each family already assigned to us by the Children's Foundation has a mum and dad and five children, so we will actually be bringing Christmas joy to 28 people in Guelph. Our volunteers will soon go shopping for gift cards to match the families' wish lists.

David Van Veen reminded everyone to mark their calendars for The Rotary Foundation celebratory meeting on Tuesday, November 10 from 7-8pm on Zoom. Details are on our website here. The Zoom link will be added to our calendar a few days ahead of time. We're hoping for 100% attendance from our club!

Robin Lee Norris was presented with an Honourary PHF by Bill Stevens. Robin was the first ever female Rotarian in Guelph circa 1990. Her life and career achievements are extensive!

The Rotary Club of Guelph South has launched an online auction of Christmas Nutcracker ornaments. Take a look here! This large and unique collection of 101 nutcrackers, ranging in size from 6 inches to 6 feet tall, was donated to their club for fundraising. Proceeds from the auction will go to Habitat for Humanity plus a number of other charities supported by the Guelph South club. The nutcrackers are currently on display in a shop window at 101 Wyndham Street in downtown Guelph.
Braden joined our club in February 2020, but since we've been meeting online since mid-March 2020, many of us have not yet got to know him in person. Today he introduced himself to us.

Dr. Lunnen completed his Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics at the University of Guelph. His experience there included three years on the paramedic first responder team as well as becoming a first aid instructor. He then attended New York Chiropractic College where he earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic and was awarded induction into the Phi Chi Omega Honor Society.
Dr. Lunnen is an avid martial artist with over 14 years experience in both training and teaching. He has had the privilege of providing chiropractic care for professional kick boxers, amateur mixed martial artists, and athletes. This experience, coupled with his past training, has directly influenced his philosophy and passion for addressing and eliminating pain, as well as specializing his treatment approach to help prevent future injury by re-educating the body in proper movement and function.
Braden and his wife Kathy have a one year old daughter, Ellie.
We are really looking forward to sharing many wonderful years of Rotary experience with you, Braden, and are SO glad you are in our club!
