Our meeting on August 7 was well attended and included Rotarians from our sister clubs including Guelph Trillium, Guelph South and Guelph Wellington. The topic was “What is Guelph 200, and what can Guelph Rotary do to help mark Guelph's 200th birthday?”
Speakers were
Dhruv Shah, Chair of the Guelph 200 Community Working Group
Nicole Neufeld, Supervisor of Guelph 200 for the City of Guelph
Terrie Jarvis, to spark the formation of a Joint Guelph Rotary Club Committee to gather ideas, evaluate them, then select and implement a meaningful Rotary Guelph 200 project in 2027.
Attendees at the meeting proposed many possible ideas that are now being collected, and will soon be shared with the Guelph Rotary Clubs for next steps.
Exciting times ahead!
