The official opening of The Grove Hub at University of Guelph was celebrated on June 21, 2022 - another milestone in this amazing Rotary-inspired mission to establish seven Youth Wellness centres in Guelph and Wellington County.
A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work. And it also takes extraordinary leadership that has been delivered in spades by our club member Cyndy Forsyth, with steadfast help from many others whom she is quick to recognize.
Of the seven planned hubs, four are now fully operational: in Fergus, Erin, Palmerston and now at UofG. Youth mental health service linked to The Grove is also being provided at the Gueph Y, with plans progressing to offer similar service at Shelldale Family Gateway. Meanwhile, construction is well underway for the future flagship Grove Hub on Woolwich (opening spring 2023).
Cyndy always thanks the Rotary Club of Guelph for its support, saying "The Grove would still be a hope and dream if Rotary had not taken the lead in 2018."
