DETAILS:
Running & Reading Clubs have been the heart and soul of the Start2Finish program for 22 years now, a Fitness Literacy Model that produces long-term social change in the lives of children.

After a two-year Covid shutdown, Start2Finish is beginning a gradual return to in-person programming, and hoping to restart at two or three Guelph elementary schools after March Break.
  • Willow Road Public School - Tuesdays
  • Westwood Public School - Wednesdays
  • Brant Avenue Public School - Thursdays
All programming starts once the school day ends, and takes place in the school's gymnasium for about 2 hours each session.

Here is a summary for the volunteer commitment:
  • Once a week, after-school
  • About 2 hours/session (end-of-March to end-of-May)
  • Facilitate games, activities, exercise
  • Facilitate one-on-one and/or group discussions
  • Read stories
  • Build meaningful connections and have fun!
Whether members want to commit to a weekly club, or if members want to rotate weeks, Start2Finish can make either scenario work as long as they have 'someone' committed weekly.
