For the 24th year, the Rotary Club of Guelph is bringing a sparkle back to the city with Christmas lights at Riverside Park.
Over several months, the dedicated Rotary "elves" have been checking and preparing the many lights and displays for the event starting on Thursday, December 16.
Each evening up until New Year's Eve on December 31, the park will be lit up from 5:30pm to 9:30pm for the public to enjoy by driving through ... or around and around to see them all! And be sure to look out for Santa each night until December 23.
Under the present Covid conditions, the event will be DRIVE THROUGH ONLY.  For the same reason, there can be no carousel rides or fireworks on New Year's Eve, either. (We're sad about that, too!)
All donations at this 100% volunteer-run event are gratefully received, and go towards charitable projects that improve life.
Volunteers near the park entrance will warmly greet visitors and collect donations, also offering tap-based debit and credit card donations.
Online donations made to SPARKLES will provide a tax receipt that can be shown through the car window for multiple entries to the park.
A big thank you to this year's sponsors!
