The Rotary Club of Guelph is a proud sponsor of ShelterBox.

ShelterBox is responding to the Ukraine crisis. We have a team working in Poland. We are working closely with other organisations to ensure that together we help as many people as possible. We are working with partners - including Rotary International - to support people both in Ukraine and those who have fled the country to a neighbouring country like Moldova. More than 3 million people are reported to have fled Ukraine to neighbouring countries.
We have aid on the way. We are working on three projects – two within Ukraine and one to support refugees fleeing the county.
  • We are sending mattresses to ‘collective centres’ like schools, churches and sports centres in western Ukraine. This will offer people who have fled their homes somewhere to sleep and keep warm at night.
  • We are preparing to provide shelter kits with tools and rope, high thermal blankets, hygiene kits including items like soap, washing powder and toothpaste, solar lights, buckets and water carriers to help people survive in buildings damaged by the conflict.
  • We will be supporting refugees in neighbouring countries with high priority items they can carry with them, like hygiene items and warm winter coats.
