Tree planting in the Rotary Forest is now complete.  Unfortunately, Covid restrictions over the past three years have prevented the annual Earth Day Celebrations and tree planting activities planned each April in the Rotary Forest at Guelph Lakes Conservation Area.
We want to thank all of our sponsors and tree planting volunteers that have made the project an overwhelming success!  Over 60,000 native trees have been planted in the Rotary Forest since 2008, transforming 100 acres of farm land back to its’ natural habitat, expanding wildlife corridors and increasing the tree canopy coverage and carbon capture.  The Rotary Club of Guelph has had wonderful partnerships with the Grand River Conservation Authority, the Township of Guelph-Eramosa and the City of Guelph that brought this dream to realization.  For those of you who look forward to the opportunity to participate in tree planting, stay tuned!  We have a new project on the horizon for the spring of 2023 and hope that we will see you there.”
