Paul Pennock, passed away on June 10, 2022. He was a member of our Rotary Club for 29 years, and well known in our community for his 40 + year relationship with OVC, first as a student, then as a veterinarian and eventually as a veterinary radiologist and professor. Our sincere condolences to Paul's wife, Anne, a member of our club for 30 years, and a past president 2006-2007.

Paul was a leader by example and he made the world a better place. He will be sorely missed.

Paul became a Rotarian June 11 1993, and was a Rotarian for Life. Paul's contributions were vast! The committees he sat on included Scholars and Exchange Committee, Attendance Committee, Electoral Committee, Bulletin Committee, Roster Committee and Operations Committee.

Paul is universally described as being smart, caring, considerate and an all-round nice guy.  He was laid back and quiet, with a quirky sense of humour.  He used language for fun and continually adopted new words and expressions; he got his “ears lowered” every six weeks. Paul was extremely modest about his many accomplishments and talents - he was an academic, a practicing vet, a carpenter, a tinkerer and a cook! His head was absolutely full of knowledge and there was nothing like watching him sit back, with a “Now let me think,” and slowly but surely come up with the answer to a question.

Paul and Anne celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary last December. Anne and Paul have 2 children, Deborah and David, and 4 grandchildren.
