The Rotary-inspired Food4Kids Guelph charity is finally getting back to the business of delivering actual FOOD BAGS again. After being shut out of schools due to Covid for 19 months, and mailing grocery gift cards to families instead, the program is resuming its weekend food bag deliveries this month. First deliveries go out to schools on Friday, October 22. The dedicated volunteers are very busy ramping up operations!

Currently, Food4Kids Guelph supports over 300 children at 28 local elementary schools, and every week, new referrals from school principals come in.  So the work continues, and so does the fundraising.

A wonderful group of volunteers has arranged an unusual fundraiser  … a Halloween Movie Night at the Mustang Drive-in on Thursday, Oct 28th. The next day is a PD day at local schools so it's hoped that kids might be able to stay out a little later that night. The movie will be THE ADDAMS FAMILY (2019 animated version).

The volunteers are hoping for parents and grandparents to bring kids out for some Halloween fun at the drive-in. Tickets are on sale through the website Food4KidsGuelph.ca.
