The impact of climate change

We are greatly anticipating this talk by Prof. Kent Moore, son of our distinguished club member, Ab Moore.

The effects of climate change are being felt in many places, as we'll hear from Kent Moore, a professor of physics at the University of Toronto Mississauga.   For example, across all five Great Lakes, temperatures have risen between three and five degrees Celsius at the surface, with wide-reaching effects — from increased chances of harmful algae blooms, to impacts on ecosystems that rely on the lakes. Changes are being measured elsewhere, too.
