DESCRIPTION:This Friday\, March 17\, is a club meeting not to be missed. I
 t's going to be heartwarming! We will honouring several people for their i
 mportant contributions in our club\, as well as learning about a valuable 
 local organization that we helped get started a long time ago. Assistant D
 istrict Governor Tracey Curtis will be giving special recognition to two a
 mazing individuals\, along with special congratulations from District 7080
 . Luisa Del Rosario\, our one and only\, will be recognized for her incred
 ible service in making the world a better place by using her sewing skills
 \, soul and heart. Also for her help and leadership with Lobsterfest for m
 any years.  Chris Vandergrift\, the husband of Jane Armstrong\, who got v
 oluntold by Jane so often to help with Sparkles in the Park that he became
  a natural\, core volunteer every year\, that we greatly depend upon and a
 ppreciate.   The main part of our program on Friday will be about 2nd Ch
 ance Employment Counselling. Executive Director Chris Baginski-Hanson will
  update us about developments at 2nd Chance in helping individuals find em
 ployment or explore their training and career options. We'll also hear ab
 out the role that our Rotary Club of Guelph played in the founding of 2nd 
 Chance several decades ago\, and the ongoing service (still today!) on the
  2nd Chance board by Randy Wilson and Reny Pietroban.   Finally\, volunte
 er race director Ashley Burr (who happens to be a counsellor at 2nd Chance
 ) wants to thank the club for supporting the highly successful SECRET 3K e
 vent in Guelph last week\, raising awareness about safety for women and gi
 rls in sport. And we want to thank Ashley for her extraordinary efforts an
 d success with this Rotary-sponsored event.
